Flashmob Supercomputer Attempted

University of San Francisco researchers attempted to use the flash mob technique to try and pull together enough processing power to create a supercomputer that would rank on the Top 500 supercomputer list. Unfortunately they did not reach their goal but the did manage to bring together a good number of people and they liked their results. Yahoo News has some more details on the event.
