Continuing Wi-Fi Insecurity

CNN has the story of a security consultant who went on an 800-mile long “war-drive” and found two things: wireless usage is spreading, and most are as non-secure as ever. At this point it’s obvious a campaign to educate wireless users wouldn’t work, unless they used some rather questionable and probably illegal tactics, so wireless vendors should devise some “technology standards” to auto-configure their gear for security.
