Microsoft has some anti-virus software in the works for its various Operating Systems, which it will sell separately from its OS products. On the one hand if it was bundled with Windows they’d be sued for anti-trust violations by other AV vendors, on the other people could see it as a slap in the face when sold apart and could smell of conflict of interest.
