64-bit Desktops on the Way

PC World thinks we’ll be seeing 64-bit computing on our desks sooner or later and the various things that need to get developed in order for it to matter. Interesting insight, if not blatantly obvious, although cheery outlooks are not in order with a nightmare of drivers and software companies no doubt plotting special 64-bit versions of their programs for a small added fee. Be afraid.
