mini-SATA on its way, promises smaller drives

mSATA mini SATA connectorYou may have thought things were good, no great even. We finally got rid of the cable nightmare that was PATA and have a much better cable and signaling system in Serial ATA, unfortunately you’re standing in the way of progress and should be moving out of the way.

mini-SATA, or mSATA, is on the drawing board and should bring about a much smaller connection for solid state drives of the future…perhaps hoping for multiple mSATA connections for RAID action on mobile devices is a little premature.
