Gigabyte’s X58-OC Motherboard marks a weird trend of revisiting an old platform for kicks. It’s joining the ASUS Rampage III Black Edition in taking one last stab at providing the absolute best tweaking, benching, and overclocking platform for those that enjoy pushing their processors to extremes. The board features four PCIe x16 slots with a pair of dedicated SATA power connections that should bolster the amount of power that’s available to your PCIe slots. The company also seems quite proud of its spacing between the slots since they allow you to cram insulation into spaces should you plan to use some exotic cooling possibilities. You can also expect a huge amount of overclocking features in its BIOS which will give your LGA1366 processor some more leg room while Intel moves onto newer processor designs.
