One Sexy Slab: Linux-Based CrunchPad Tablet Launch Prototype

CrunchPad Launch Prototype

TechCrunch’s Michael Arrington has posted some pics showing the progress they’re making on the CrunchPad $300 Linux-powered, touchscreen web tablet. Sexy!

Among the improvements are a thickness of 18 mm and a screen that lays flush with the case. He also mentions that Fusion Garage continues to improve on the software and the device will boot (fast, we hope) straight into the Webkit-based browser. You can see an old version of the CrunchPad touch UI in action in this YouTube video.

He also says not to expect any more info until July. How cruel.

But that’s enough of that, head over to TechCrunch right now and ogle the device from multiple angles.
